“Chuna in Ayurveda: A Simple Remedy for Calcium Deficiency"

In Ayurveda, chuna (calcium hydroxide) is used to help with calcium deficiency. It's important to use it carefully and under the guidance of an Ayurvedic doctor. Here are some basic steps:

  1.  Small Amounts: Use a very small amount of chuna, about the size of a grain of rice.
  2.  Mix with Liquid: Dissolve this tiny amount in buttermilk or water to make it easier to consume. Drink this mixture once a day.
  3.  With Betel Leaves: You can also put a little chuna on a betel leaf and chew it after meals. The leaf helps balance the strong nature of chuna.
  4.  With Sweeteners: Sometimes, chuna is mixed with jaggery (a type of natural sugar) or honey to improve its taste.
  5.  Monitor Your Health: Regular check-ups are important to make sure your calcium levels are improving and there are no side effects.
  6. Eat Calcium-Rich Foods: Along with chuna, include foods rich in calcium in your diet, like dairy products, leafy greens, almonds, and sesame seeds.

Always talk to a healthcare professional before starting any new treatment, especially with strong substances like chuna, to ensure it’s safe for you.
