Best Yoga Pose for Managing Diabetes: Seated Spinal Twist

For people with diabetes, yoga can help manage blood sugar levels, improve circulation, and reduce stress.

One good yoga pose for diabetes is the Seated Spinal Twist (Ardha Matsyendrasana). This pose can stimulate the pancreas, improve digestion, and help control blood sugar levels.

How to do Seated Spinal Twist:

1.   Sit on the floor with your legs straight in front of you.

2.   Bend your right knee and place your right foot on the outside of your left thigh.

3.   Bend your left knee and tuck your left foot near your right hip.

4.   Inhale, sit up tall, and place your right hand behind you.

5.   Exhale and twist your upper body to the right, placing your left elbow on the outside of your right knee.

6.   Hold the pose for 30 seconds to 1 minute, breathing deeply.

7.   Release the twist and repeat on the other side.

Always check with a healthcare provider or a certified yoga instructor before starting any new exercise routine, especially if you have diabetes.
